# Elevation Place

> Elevation Place is a free worldwide elevation, altitude, GPS accuracy, movement, weather, and topographic map utility at https://elevation.place/.

Ground elevation is an estimate from a terrain model. Device altitude is reported separately when browser hardware and permissions provide it. Readings are not survey-grade, and agents should preserve the distinction between elevation, altitude, and location accuracy.

The initial page uses approximate Cloudflare network context. Exact coordinates are requested only after the visitor grants browser location permission. Rounded coordinates may be processed by the site's same-origin Worker for terrain, weather, and place lookups.
