Full Plus Codes work worldwide. A short Plus Code needs a nearby reference: enter its latitude and longitude in the manual fields first. Geohash, Maidenhead, GARS and MGRS identify cells; decoding returns the center and shows the cell extent or size. USNG here explicitly uses WGS84, not an assumed NAD27 or NAD83 transformation.

Output precision

ECEF uses the entered WGS84 ellipsoid height, initially 0 m, not sea-level elevation or a GPS altitude measurement. A decoded ECEF point restores its ellipsoid height. Other two-dimensional outputs omit height. Use decimal points and the displayed input example; coordinate notation remains language-neutral.

Custom WGS84 projection

Built-in EPSG systems: 4326, 3857, 4978, 5041/5042 and all 120 WGS84 UTM zones (32601–32660, 32701–32760). For other WGS84 projections, paste a PROJ definition with +datum=WGS84. Regional datum shifts, survey epochs, vertical datums and external grid files are not supported. Proprietary what3words needs its licensed API and is not converted here. This is not a claim to support every CRS in existence.

No account. Coordinates and calculations stay in this browser, except requested terrain data, map tiles or an explicitly started live session. Maps open only when you choose them.

How it works & accuracy

Convert between 22 coordinate representations. Enter latitude and longitude, paste a code in its selected format, use GPS, or choose a point on the map. Calculations run locally and work offline after this page is cached. More digits do not improve GPS accuracy.

Can I use this without location permission?

Yes. Enter coordinates manually. A live compass still needs compatible sensors; live sharing needs fresh browser location permission.

Privacy

No account. Coordinates and calculations stay in this browser, except requested terrain data, map tiles or an explicitly started live session. Maps open only when you choose them.

Input format

DD, DMS, DDM, radians and gon use latitude then longitude. GeoJSON, WKT and KML use longitude then latitude. UTM uses zone, N/S hemisphere, easting, northing in meters; the hemisphere is not an MGRS latitude band. UPS is used north of 84°N and south of 80°S. Web Mercator stops at ±85.051129°.

WGS84 ellipsoid height (m)

Other two-dimensional outputs omit height. Use decimal points and the displayed input example; coordinate notation remains language-neutral.
